Launch of the AIGO project:
Representatives from the Gravitational Wave International Committee (GWIC), international and industry partners, AIGO advisory committees, WA Government, Australian Government and The University of Western Australia will be attending the official launch of the AIGO Project. Following the Launch, meetings have been scheduled throughout the day on the development of the AIGO Project. The venue for the Launch will be at the Auditorium Theatre of The University of Western Australia’s University Club. For more details follow the links.

23 February to 24 February, 2010: Gingin
Workshop Programme:
Please send us confirmation of your participation in the parallel workshop sessions of the AIGO Conference to be held in Gingin. If you are planning to give a talk, please send us the title of your talk and an abstract.
See draft programme at AIGO website (Programme). Further sessions will included subject to demand, including discussions about LIGO 'South'.
We would also appreciate it if you would advise us before 6 January 2010 if you require accommodation in Gingin and whether or not you would be accompanied by family or partner.
If you think you will need some financial support please let us know as soon as possible as funds are very limited.
25 February to 27 February, 2010: Augusta, Denmark/Pemberton
Post Conference Tour:
Please let us know if you are planning to attend the “Wild Beaches of the Southwest” excursion to take place from Thursday 25 to Saturday 27 February.
The tour will take people through the Margaret River wine growing region to Cape Leeuwin where the Indian and Southern Ocean meet. Then onto the beaches in the southwest corner of Western Australia including West Cape Howe only accessible by 4WD.
Cost of the tour will be as low as possible with three options available:
- Ultra low cost at ~AUD$150 for the whole trip, includes shared accomodation.
- Standard cost, including standard hotel room (~AUD$150 per night), fuel (~AUD$60) and meals paid by yourself.
- Self drive, where you can rent your own car and we will organise your accommodation as per your preference.

28 February to 2 March, 2010: Gingin/Perth
Post Conference Workshop:
Workshop on Gravitational Wave Technology: Lectures and practical demonstrations over 3 days from Sunday 28 February to Tuesday 2 March, 2010.
The final program is still being developed. The workshop is design for students and physicists just entering the field. A draft program can be seen at the AIGO website (Workshop Programme).
