Wild Beaches of the Southwest
There will be one or two 12 seater minibusses plus another 4WD vehicle. Itinerary can be changed and shortened as desired, Total travel distance ~ 800km.
The tour will take people through the Margaret River wine growing region to Cape Leeuwin where the Indian and Southern Ocean meet. Then onto the beaches in the southwest corner of Western Australia including West Cape Howe only accessible by 4WD.
Cost of the tour will be as low as possible with three options available:
- Ultra low cost at ~AUD$150 for the whole trip, includes shared accomodation.
- Standard cost, including standard hotel room (~AUD$150 per night), fuel (~AUD$60) and meals paid by yourself.
- Self drive, where you can rent your own car and we will organise your accommodation as per your preference.
08:00 Buses depart towards Caves Rd, Margaret River: 4 hours drive
12:30 Lunch at Yallingup Beach
14:00 Photo-op Boranup Forest, Swim at Foul Bay and Cosy Corner
15:30 Drive to Augusta: walk the Southern Ocean/India Ocean Boundary at Cape Leeuwin.
18:00 Fish and chips at the last Café before Antarctica
Accomodation at Augusta hotel or Blair’ Bunk House
08:00 Breakfast at Augusta bakery: Collect lunch rolls, drive to Karri Valley
09:30-12:00 Big trees, big swing, climb a 70m tree
13:00 Lunch at Mt Chudalup, swim at Salmon Beach Cape D’Entrecausteau
16:00 Explore Peaceful Bay/Elephant Rock
18:00 Drive to Chalet accommodation, Denmark
08:00 Pick up Lunch Rolls, Drive to Lowlands Beach
09:00 Swim, walk, play and have lunch at Lowlands
13:00 Drive to West Cape Howe
14:00 Visit Shelley Beach or Golden Gates and the basalt cliffs(for the adventurous)
17:00 Go to Albany for Take Away Pizza Dinner on Mt Clarence
18:30 5 hours drive to Perth
23:30 Arrival to hotels (Perth)
